At the entrance to the Corbières, between the castle of Carcassonne and the medieval village of Lagrasse, there is a charming house, a sun-kissed nest built onto the hillside. Completely renovated and at the edge of the village it has superb views of the vineyards and the Alaric mountain (600m high).

 

The holiday house includes:

• kitchen, dining room, 2 small living rooms (with sofa-beds - one single, one double), 3 bedrooms (2 single beds, 2 double beds), one double bed on the mezanine, and 2 bathrooms (washbasins and showers)
• sheltered, private terrace (35sq m) with barbecue and a panoramic view of the valley

 

The village of Montlaur: A couple of miles away, Montlaur has less than 600 inhabitants but a good variety of shops: a traditional bakery which sells organic bread, a grocer, a chemist, a butcher, a hairdresser, a cafe, and several wine-makers.

 

Meals: The house is equipped with everything you need for cooking (oven, coffee machine, food processor), but you can also eat at our table, eat take-aways prepared by the local butcher, or have meals delivered to your doorstep.
